Users of NT attempting to connect using a terminal adaptor or modem will be unable to connect using the NT dial-up default settings.

Symptom:
The connection is apparently made, but drops immediately (within 2 or 3 seconds).

Solution:
Edit the phonebook entry, and go into the Security section.
The default setting is
"Accept only encrypted authentication."
This needs to be changed to:
"Accept any authentication, including clear text."
